The Utah Lacrosse Coaches Association, (ULCA)

The ULCA is singularly dedicated to the facilitating educational opportunities and to recognition of of excellence in coaching in our state of Utah.  Membership is optional but highly encouraged.  

Registration for a ULCA membership is accessible via the Main Registration page.  The ULCA membership is an annual membership.   Cost of membership will be $30.  Membership resources go to defray costs associated with executing the Coaches Education program.  Your participation is greatly appreciated.         

The first 60 members will get a complimentary membership to a coaches online assistance site that is loaded with drills, video clinics and practice plan to assist the novice and experienced coach alike.                           


Did you know...2012 National Championship Head Coach, Charlie Toomey, (Loyola University) visited Utah to do a coaches clinic in 1998 while head coach of Severn HS, MD?

The Utah Lacrosse Coaches Association (ULCA) will:
  • Coordinate training opportunities throughout the year.
  • Facilitate the presentation of the US Lacrosse Coaches Education Program, (Level I, Level II and Level III courses).
  • Facilitate the presentation of Positive Coaching Alliance Training program.
  • Recognize coaching milestones and achievements.

ULA Coaches benefits include:
  • Free Access to all ULA Coaches Training sessions (201 and 301).
  • Coaching Book and Log Provided to track training and game experience.
  • Free electronic Coaches Newsletter with articles on coaching, drills and related topics to mentoring young people in the game.
  • Entry into the UCLA Coaches Training Tracking Program
  •  Free admittance into the NEW Lax 102 course
    • Bronze Level Coach 
      • Complete 5 training sessions (Lax 101, 201 or 301 series).
      • Log 10 games as a Head or Assistant Coach.*
    • Silver Level Coach
      • US Lacrosse Level I certified
      • Complete 10 training sessions (8 x Lax 101 or 201, 2 x 301 series).
      • Log 20 games as a Head or Assistant Coach,  (at least 5 as Head Coach.*)
    • Gold Level Coach
      • US Lacrosse Level II Certified
      • Complete 15 training sessions (10 x Lax 101 or 201, 5 x 301 series).
      • Log 30 games as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach, (at least 20 as Head Coach.*)
    • US Lacrosse Golden Stick Award
