Storm League Info:

(current K - 2nd graders)

Overview:

The Storm league is a developmental league that allows for players in K-2nd grade to learn the fundamental skills necessary to play lacrosse. The Storm league is a 7 vs. 7 format on a reduced field size (80x40 yds Click Here for Diagram) and "hector rejectors" instead of goalies.

BOYS FALL STORM LEAGUE

NEW (Fall2015) the Storm League will be structured and run just as it is in the Spring. The Fall season consists of 6 games September 10, 2016 - October 15, 2016. Players will register for the program affiliated with the high school boundaries in which they live (or next closest program if necessary).  Understanding that participation may be low team combinations may be necessary for bordering programs this Fall.

GIRLS FALL & SPRING STORM LEAGUE

The Storm League for girls will be clinic based with scrimmages each week in order for the girls to learn and master the fundamentals of the game. Due to the low numbers in player registrations we have all the players meet in one location and practice for and hour.  After the hour clinic is over they will be split into teams for an hour long scrimmage. This will happen once a week for 4 weeks location and time TBD.  Girls need a stick, mouth guard, and goggles.

4 2016 two hour Saturday Sessions, April 16, 23, 30, May 7
Location: TBD
9am-11am
During the sessions they will be taught skills and participate in scrimmages

What team/program should I register for?

The boys and girls youth leagues teams/programs largely stem down through the affiliated high school lacrosse programs. Players are to register, and eligible to play, for the team/program that corresponds to the public high school boundaries in which they live. If your school/area does not have a lacrosse program players are then placed on the next closest team/program in the league. You may contact the office if you have questions about the next closest program, and/or visit the "team pages" section of the website to view all of the current teams/programs in each league (use the 3 dropdown menus to select (1) season (2) league/age-group (3)team/program)

US Lacrosse Membership: ALL players must have a current and valid US Lacrosse membership in order to participate in any league activities (practice and/or games).
